Objective

The participants are encouraged to think critically about everyday racism. They will learn to better recognize racism and develop coping strategies.

Content

Racism, as a system of power, is deeply rooted within the structures of our society. We have all been socialized within this power system. In this seminar, we look at how racism becomes visible in our everyday life in Germany and what effects it has on us and the people around us. How do I learn to think “antiracist”? How do I learn to react appropriately when faced with racism? We find answers to these questions and develop first steps for action.

Target Audience

Students at RWTH
