Open Access to Scientific Information: Chemistry

The Gold Road to Open Access
The University Library contributes towards the author fees for members of the RWTH community who wish to publish their work for journals produced by selected publishing houses. To qualify for this support, please ensure that you enter RWTH Aachen University as your institution when registering as a corresponding / submitting author. Through institutional memberships held by the University Library, you may also be able to benefit from a discount on publication fees.

SciFinder

In order to use the WebVersion of the SciFinder database , you will need to register online. It is also possible to access SciFinder services via your smartphone using SciFinder Mobile.

SciFinder Registration

  • You will need to have direct access to the RWTH Campus Network or a VPN connection to the network in order to register for SciFinder services. You will also need to use your RWTH email address to register.
  • When registering, you will need to select your own user name and password. You will then receive an automated confirmation email which will enable you to complete the verification process. Verification must take place within 48 hours of receiving the confirmation email, using the same computer or laptop you used for registration. Following successful completion of this process, your user name and password will be activated.
  • Fill in the registration form. Please see the document below for detailed registration information and instructions. Please comply with the requirements stated when selecting your user name and password.
