Order and Delivery Services for RWTH Staff
Journal ArticleDelivery Service for RWTH Staff
The University Library provides electronic copies of journal articles from its holdings. This service is available only to RWTH staff and is free of charge.
We will notify you by e-mail in a few days when your journal article copies are ready.
You can order copies of articles from journals of the University Library directly in our KatalogPlus at the copy display of a journal volume. There you can click on "Digitalization".
In the next step, enter your desired journal article (article title, author, pages) into the order mask and submit the digitalization request.
Book Delivery Service
The book delivery service provided by the University Library primarily caters for the institutes and faculties on the Melaten Campus.
This is how the service works:
- Please apply for the "book delivery service" by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your user account will then be set up accordingly.
- Afterwards, when ordering a book in KatalogPlus, you can use your regular library card or your RWTH BlueCard to choose whether you would like to pick it up at the university library or have it delivered to the institute by bookmobile service.
- Books from the textbook collection cannot be borrowed using the book delivery service.
- Literature that is not available in Aachen libraries can be ordered via interlibrary loan or by placing a purchase request.
Items ordered and delivered through the book delivery service can be returned in the same way.
If you require an item that is not currently in our collections, you can submit a purchase request.
You will be notified by email once the item has been purchased.

Standards on Demand
Members of the RWTH community can order standards and technical regulations free of charge through our Standards on Demand Service. Standards that are not included in our collections are ordered electronically and are delivered via email.
Standards are very expensive, so please ensure that you only order standards that you genuinely need.
