The IZ can advise you over the phone, via email, or in person. Online advising is possible upon registration in the Helpdesk Meeting Room.
Our staff at the Information Center can answer all your questions regarding products and services on offer at the University Library. You can come and see us in person on the second floor of the Main Library building, or you can contact us via telephone or email. In addition, we offer online assistance through our Help Desk conferencing facility and a chat service via the RWTHApp.
Live assistance is offered on screen through our web-based Helpdesk. Meet us in our online conferencing facility, and our Library staff will help you with your individual search queries.
Call us beforehand on +49 241 80 94459, and then enter our Helpdesk IZ meeting room "Helpdesk IZ" as a guest.

Chat Service via the RWTHApp
You can also communicate with us through the University Library Channel on the RWTHApp. Just send your questions and comments to us directly. We are online Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm.
Library users have access to open stacks in the following areas and fields:
- On the Information Center premises, you will find the open stacks for the Natural Sciences and Engineering.
- In the Library 2 building, you will find the open stacks for the Humanities, Social Sciences, Economics and Law.
IT facilities and technical equipment
Both library buildings offer users a range of IT facilities and technical equipment to support them in their academic study.
